Welcome to NextStep. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NextStep, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

NextStep is an AI-powered execution intelligence platform for founder teams. The service connects to your communication and productivity tools (such as Slack, Gmail, and Notion), processes the content using artificial intelligence, and provides prioritized action items, insights, and recommendations.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring you have the right to connect third-party accounts (e.g., company Slack workspaces)

You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use NextStep for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Abuse, harass, or harm others through the service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service beyond normal usage
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
  • Resell or redistribute the service without our permission
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code

5. Intellectual Property

Our Property

NextStep, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as intended.

Your Data

You retain all rights to your data. By using NextStep, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Third-Party Integrations

NextStep integrates with third-party services including Slack, Gmail, Google Workspace, and Notion. Your use of these integrations is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

7. Service Availability

Beta Service: NextStep is currently in beta. The service is provided "as is" without any guarantees of availability, uptime, or reliability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not liable for any loss of data or damages resulting from service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NextStep and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NextStep and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

By You: You may terminate your account at any time through the settings page or by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will attempt to provide notice when possible.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of NextStep after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
